ADANI, the market leader in transmission X-ray full body scanning has been chosen to supply a customized body scanner for the Greenland Customs Service.

Following a competitive technology evaluation process in autumn of 2016 ADANI working together with NORAD A/S, Denmark, have been awarded a contract to supply 1 CONPASS DV Full Body Security Screening System to be installed at Akileraartarnermut Aqutsisoqarfik /Tax Agency/ Nuuk - Greenland for detection of smugglers importing narcotics and banned substances into the country.

Leonid Zelenkevich, International Sales and Marketing Director of ADANI Limited said “We have worked hard with the technical and commercial teams at NORAD A/S to develop a customized solution that we are very proud has been accepted by Greenland Customs Service. We had to develop a specially tailored version of the CONPASS DV system which was applicable for this particular location and specific end user operations.

ADANI CONPASS DV system once again demonstrated its superiority and flexibility which made sure that the end user received the exact solution which was required to meet their operational and imaging requirements. We are extremely proud to have won this project and the results once again demonstrate superiority of the CONPASS DV solution within the marketplace.

The demand for more complete personnel screening systems is increasing in a number of key markets as a result of a mixture of events and the realization by the enforcement agencies that the technology exists to safely screen for a wide range of banned and dangerous items. The ADANI CONPASS product line has demonstrated that its robust design, high performance and flexibility has proven popular with an increasing range of international customers. At ADANI, we have always been proud of the fact that we offer a flexible approach to meeting the customer’s needs. This has proven very successful in the recent past and by the end of the year, we are planning to further expand this with a wider range of flexible personnel screening solutions.”

Hardy Vinter, Senior Customs Adviser of NORAD A/S, Denmark said, “The key to winning this contract is a combination of the knowledge NORAD has to the Customs in Greenland and end user operations, effective cooperation with ADANI during the project development stage and not at least a quality product that provides the best image quality in the market. In this case, the scanner is perfectly integrated at the airport area in a Shielded Cabin which means that it can be installed in a crowded location without any need for additional radiation protection measures.”
